Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJENNY FLORENCE SERVATKA (Jean Serva) May 22, 1936 - Nov. 12, 2005 After many years of being incapacitated as a result of a brain aneurysm, Jean passed away with her family by her side at the Seven Oaks Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph (1977) and Bertha (1971) Chapman; her partner David Gibbings (2003). She is survived by her sisters Patricia Servatka and Kathleen Harik; her nieces Shelley Brown, Lindsey, Shannon, and Kaitlyn Harik, and her nephew Michael Pawlyk. Her step-daughter Marnie Selch, David's sister Sharon and her husband John Dunning and their children. Jean's long time friend Pearl Wylie, and her Godchild Pam Kraft (Salter). Jean was born in Winnipeg and attended King Edward and Isaac Newton schools. She worked at M.T.S., Vulcan Machinery, and later, Construction Equipment. She enjoyed outdoor activities and was sports minded, loved animals, and derived much comfort from her Ruff, Misty, and Whiskers. Jean also loved music and was known to be quite an entertainer, after a fashion, as she had an exceptional sense of humour. A celebration of life will be held at Khartum Shriners, 1155 Wilkes in the Red Fez lounge on November 24, 2005 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a charity of your choice or Khartum Transportation Fund. Interment at a later date.
