CONRAD ETIENNE CAYA February 12, 1933 - November 17, 2005 With deep sadness, after 48 years of marriage to his beloved wife Claire, the family announces the passing of our beloved husband, dad, grandfather and brother. Conrad was predeceased by his parents, Rose-Anna and Elphege Caya and brother Jean-Paul. Conrad was born in Pine Falls and at the age of 9 months, the family moved to St. Pierre, where his dad was a cheese maker. When Conrad was 10 years old, the family moved to Great Falls, where they ran a dairy farm. He retired from Manitoba Hydro after 27 years of service and continued to farm until 2003 at which time he rented out his farm. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Claire; and children, Collette, Rita (Kenn) Andre, Lucie (Jerry) and Rene (Vicky); three grandchildren, Sarah, Trevor and Bradley. He is also survived by his sisters, Jeanne, Marie-Ange and Yvette; and brother Roland. The family wishes to thank Dr. Abu Dieh and the doctors and nurses at the Pine Falls Hospital and the St. Boniface General Hospital for their care and compassion. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, November 21 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Georges Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. R. Belanger, the celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Georges cemetery.
