LUDWIG WUNSCHE Peacefully on Friday, November 18, 2005 Ludwig Wunsche passed away at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 80 years. Ludwig is lovingly survived by his wife, Vera of 41 years; his sister Erika (Theo) and extended family residing in Germany and the United States; neighbour and close friends, Del and Maria and their children; as well as other close friends cherish his memory. He was predeceased by his parents, Heinrich and Elisabeth during the Second World War bombing of Hamburg. Ludwig was born in Hamburg, Germany on December 3, 1924. In 1953 he was sponsored by the Lutheran Church to come to Canada and it was in Winnipeg, that he met and married Veronika (Vera) Horvat. Ludwig was a painter by profession, whose favourite past time was spent creating oil paintings. As a young boy he took up photography, an interest which stayed with him his whole life. He had a deep passion for technology and was very comfortable using his computer. In their younger years, he and Vera enjoyed travelling and going fishing. A special thank you is extended to the staff of the Palliative Care Ward at Riverview Health Centre. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin Rd. with viewing one half hour before service.
