DONALD GUYDA November 18, 1932 - November 18, 2005 It is with great sorrow we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Donald Guyda on his 73rd birthday after a brief, but valiant battle with cancer. Don leaves to mourn, his loving wife of 37 years, Jean and their 4 children: Darrell (Willy) their children Denny, Kristal and Dustin; Kim and her children Shaun (Marlo) and Andrea; Brad; Donna (Alan) and their children Danielle and Brendan; 5 great-grandchildren; his sister Joyce (Harold) and their families as well as numerous other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Caroline, sister Evelyn and his first wife Sonja. Don was born and raised in Winnipeg. He was employed at C.P.R. for 41 years, retiring in 1992. He was an avid fisherman, gardener, enjoyed hockey and football and was a great handyman - if it was broken, he could fix it. Dad took his time and was meticulous in all he did. It is that sense of pride and workmanship that he passed down to his kids. Don had a deep love for his family, even though he was a man of few words, his love was felt by his caring nature, kind gestures and by the warmth of his smile. Dad also had a great sense of humour and quick wit, and his snappy comments will be missed by all. Special thanks to the staff at CancerCare for their compassion, kindness and care during Don's treatment. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, November 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with a Funeral Service on Thursday, November 24 at 11:30 a.m. also at the chapel. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. We love you, we'll miss you And we'll remember you always. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
