HOMER SELLAR Homer Sellar, peacefully in White Rock, BC, aged 86. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Joan of 64 years, his daughter Rae (Allen), his son Roy (Sandy) and Wendy who was like a daughter to him; seven grandchildren, Noka and Darcey Ryan, Chris, Sara, Jennifer and Heather Sellar and Jessica Chisvin; and eight beautiful great-grandchildren. Homer was born on October 13, 1919 at C.P. Rail Weston shops where his parents owned and operated a restaurant. As he grew he expressed his love for planes and flying. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force 429 Squadron where he earned his wings and flew overseas during the Second World War. On his return from the War he and his wife settled in Winnipeg. He worked for the CPR till he was 60. He and his wife enjoyed travelling in the motor home through Mexico and spending time at their summer home in Arnes, MB and their winter home at Harlingen, Texas. They moved to White Rock, BC to be near their daughter Rae. Homer will be cremated and a service will be held at a later date.
