ESTHER ENNS Peacefully, with her family by her side, our mom passed away on November 19, 2005 at the age of 71. Esther was born November 15, 1934 to Frank and Margareta Enns. She grew up on a farm with her two brothers and four sisters and attended school in the Homewood area. Esther married David Enns on June 16, 1956. Together they had four children, Merv, Patti, Chris and Pam. Esther had a deep relationship with her Heavenly Father. She was a great prayer warrior, an avid reader who loved the Bible, especially the Old Testament. Esther had a passion for gardening, and everything grew under her care. Esther had a big heart for people, and poured into many people's lives. She greatly valued the friendships of her sisters and loved being with her grandchildren. Esther worked for Mulder Brothers, Lesters, and the North West Company and was a long time volunteer for the Crisis Pregnany Centre. She attended Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church and served in many areas such as the Children's Sunday School Director, Adult Sunday School Director, the Librarian, sang in the choir and with a trio. Esther is survived by her husband David; her son Mervyn (Marlene), daughters Patti (Leith), Chris, Pam (Darrell); twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is further survived by her brother John (Cathy); her sisters Aggie (Abe), Leona (Davyd), Hilda (Werner), her twin Martha (Henry) and many nieces and nephews. Esther was predeceased by her mother and father, her brothers Jake and Frank, and her sister Helen. A sincere thank you to Dr. A. Miller and staff of St. Boniface Hospital and to Dr. Raabe, his team and staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their excellent care. Esther will be sadly missed. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23 at Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church, 500 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Viewing will be from 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers and cards, donations may be made to the Crisis Pregnancy Centre, 650 Broadway Ave., R3C 0X3.
