Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWINNIFRED (WINNIE) JEAN GARGETT Winnifred (Winnie) Jean Gargett, peacefully after a short illness on November 16, 2005, in Ladysmith, BC. Aged 95 years. Winnie was born August 11, 1910, the oldest of six children to Samuel and Maria Andrews of Minnedosa, MB. She moved to Winnipeg at the age of 18, took a business course and was employed with Marshall Wells Wholesale Ltd. for 10 years, where she met and married Edward (Ted) Ernest Gargett. Loving and loyal companions for 58 years, Ted passed away September 17, 1998. Winnie moved to the Wingview Seniors Home in Ladysmith, BC during July 2000, where she has been a resident ever since. Winnie is survived by one sister Margaret (Harry) Wilson of Peterborough, ON and one brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Marie Andrews of Victoria, BC, along with sisters-in-law, Beatrice (Jack) Andrews of Minnedosa and Olive (Bill) Andrews of Estevan, SK. Predeceased by her sister Vera and brother-in-law Les Hornsby. Graveside service will be held on Monday, November 28 at 11:00 a.m. in the Thomson in the Park Cemetery with Rose Farris of Westminster United Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Winnie's memory to the Canadian Diabetic Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
