Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAUDREY DOREEN JOWETT Peacefully on Friday, November 25, 2005, after a short battle with cancer, Audrey Doreen Jowett aged 77 years, passed away at the Riverview Health Centre with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Denny, son Aubrey and grandson Denny. Left to mourn are her son, Ted Jowett (wife Judy), daughters, Judy Holden and Linda Pearson (husband Dale). She has 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, all of whom she adored. Audrey, along with life long friend Milly Jowett, special friends Kaye Kirton and Raye Schwab were affectionately known as the Golden Girls. They spent many happy times together and have numerous cherished memories. Audrey was born and raised in Thunder Bay, ON. That is where she met and married Denny. They moved to Winnipeg where they raised their four children. After the loss of Denny she returned to Thunder Bay and met special friend Alan Blaine. They became members of the Moose Lodge where they made several new friends. Audrey's favorite pastime was camping and fishing, which she did a lot of with her group of friends from the Lodge. She began a career at the Best Western Motel where she worked as a desk clerk until her retirement in 1995. She then returned to Winnipeg where she spent her remaining years with family and friends. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her. Special thanks to the staff at Riverview Health Centre for the excellent care given to our mother during her stay there. Cremation will take place and at her request, a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
