ALEXANDER BEEDY STEWART It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander Beedy Stewart, on Friday, November 25, 2005 at the age of 79 years at the Stonewall Hospital. Beedy is survived by his wife Marion of 53 years and daughters, Peggy (Doug) Latta and Debbie (Don) Gemmill. Grandpa will also be missed by his grandchildren, Katherine, Jamie, and Ian Latta and Amanda, Billy, Bonnie and Mikey Gemmill. He was predeceased by his parents, William James and Margaret Stewart and his sisters, Eileen Flett and Shirley Campbell. Beedy was born January 6, 1926 on the family farm where he remained his entire life and ran a successful farming operation. He received his education at Phipps, Tecumseh and Stonewall schools. He was Past Noble Grand of Lodge 49 Independent Order of Odd Fellows and was a member of the Stonewall Knox Presbyterian Church. At Beedy's request there will be a private family graveside service. For those wishing to pay their respects a luncheon will be held at the Fifty-Five Plus Centre, 5 Keith Cosens Drive, on Tuesday, November 29 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in memory of Beedy to the Lilyfield Cemetery Fund or to the Stonewall Knox Presbyterian Church.
