ROY ADAM THOMPSON July 1, 1919 - November 24, 2005 Peacefully at home, on November 24, 2005, with Mom by his side, at the age of 86 years, Dad (Grandpa) left us to be with Jesus. Roy was born July 1, 1919, at Fairford, MB. In 1949, he married Priscilla McLean and together they farmed for many years in the Fairford area. As a young man, he fished on Lake St. Martin, trapped and also enjoyed hunting. He was a faithful member of the St. Helen's Anglican Church in Fairford. Roy loved his family dearly. Roy and Priscilla raised three grandsons, Blair, Blaine and Clayton and one granddaughter Stephanie. Leaving behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 56 years, Priscilla; son Stanley (Myrtle); daughters, Rhoda, Sarah Thompson and Florence (Bill) Favell; son-in-law Lance Leader; grandchildren, Stanley Jr. (Yolanda), Stephen (Cherie), Athena (Stacy), Norma (Terrance), Gaylene (Desmond), Stephanie (Art) Swain, Blair, Blaine, Luana, Clifford, Clayton, Andreas, Adam, Leah and 24 great-grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn his brother Alan Thompson; and sisters, Ruby Lafreniere and Ruth Anderson; and brother-in-law Steve McLean. Roy was predeceased by his daughter Audrey Leader on April 25, 2002; great-grandson Anson; parents, James and Adelaide Thompson; brothers, Edward, Alex, Louis and Stanley Thompson; sisters, Victoria Letandre and Christina Sinclair. Prayers will be held at the Ashern Gospel Chapel on Monday, November 28, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert McLean officiating. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 29 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Helen's Anglican Church in Fairford, MB, with Fr. Ron McCullough officiating. Interment to follow in St. Helen's Anglican Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Stanley Jr. Thompson, Stephen Thompson, Clayton Thompson, Blair Thompson, Blaine Thompson and Andreas Thompson.
