Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER DZIADOW Walter passed away November 26, 2005 at the Arborg and District Health Centre. He is survived by his wife Mary and one son Donald. Walter was born November 11, 1923 in the Dauphin Hospital. He was the only child of Fred and Apolonia Dziadow of Valley River, where his father was the village blacksmith. He attended Valley River School for his elementary grades and took his high school at Wilson River. After graduation he took a welding course and during the Second World War worked at the shipyard at Prince Rupert, BC. After the war, there was a great shortage of teachers so he took his teacher training in Winnipeg. He taught at Duck Bay, Vogar, Tilston, Melita, Green Bay, Winnipeg and Rivers, usually in the primary grades which he really enjoyed. In 1954, while teaching at Melita, he met his future wife, Mary Fewings, also a teacher. They were married July 16, 1960 and lived at Rivers for 11 years and November 29, 1964, son Donald was born. In 1971 Walter retired from teaching and Mary returned to teaching. The family moved to Arborg in 1971. A private funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, at 11:00 a.m. at Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Arborg Sacred Heart Cemetery. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
