Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS (TOM) WILLIAM ROSEVEARE 1922 - 2005 Tom peacefully went to be with Jesus at the Victoria Hospital on November 26, 2005 just three days from celebrating his 83rd birthday. Born in Carman, he was raised in Sperling, MB, first living in the town then on the family farm in 1931 where he lived until 1968. Tom struggled with symptoms of Parkinson's Disease from his early years. In 1968, He came to Winnipeg to live with his sister Emma Osman and family until he gained health. At this time, Tom was diagnosed in the late stages of Parkinson by the late Dr Habib, who advised him to get in touch with the newly organized Parkinson Foundation in Toronto for information and support. From this experience, the Manitoba Parkinson's Support Group Chapter was established in Winnipeg; the monthly newsletter for this chapter mail-out being edited for many years by his sister Emma in support of her brother and many others. Tom's health stabilized, and for a time he went to work at the Disability Industrial Workshop. In 1972 Tom took up residence in the Oddfellows Home in Charleswood. He loved to reminisce about the good times, how he enjoyed playing pool and having his friends come in and play with him; and his special enjoyment of the 'walk about' with friends he made in his years living there. Tom came to a closer walk with the Lord in the Barkman's ministry at the home and dearly loved his Calvary Temple TV ministry programs. The Lions club made it possible for Tom to attend the football games and outings for entertainment over those years until he was transferred to Central Park Lodge in 1989. As his mobility became difficult, he then acquired a scooter that enabled him to retain his independence up until the last couple of years. Tom, an avid TV fan, always kept everybody up to date on current events and the weather forecast. Tom was the third son in a family of ten. Predeceased by his parents, John and Dorothy Roseveare, sister Adele, brothers George, Jim and infant Leslie (Paddy) and special nieces, Adele Nesbitt and Margret Bartlett. Tom will be missed and lovingly remembered by his caring sisters Emma Osman and Edith Keach (Ed), brothers Charlie in the Virden Nursing Home, John (Ann) of Kenton, Wallace (Lillian) of Halifax, and niece Beverly (Bill) Mercer of Thunder Bay ON, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews - Uncle Tom loved them all! Many friends and relatives in England will miss him as well and especially his great friend Sid Segel (Winnipeg) who was a daily encouragement to him. Special thanks to Dr. J.
