Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE MARY KIDD Peacefully, on Sunday, November 27, 2005, Alice Kidd, aged 92, passed away at Oakview Place. Alice was born January 12, 1913, in Winnipeg. She was the switchboard operator at the Winnipeg Free Press for over 30 years, retiring in 1978. Alice enjoyed bowling, bus tours and family get togethers. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Louisa Kidd; sister and brother-in-law Ina and Scott Whitfield and brother-in-law Ken Taylor. She leaves to mourn her passing her sister Louise Taylor; nieces, JoAnn Mensies (Willie), Marilee Desrosiers (Gerry), Sandra Taylor and Gwen Thompson (Dan); nephews, Allan and Donald Taylor' as well as great- and great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A donation in memory of Alice to the Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3, would be appreciated. We were sorry to learn of the passing of Alice and send our sincere condolences to the family and friends. Gerry and I both worked with Alice at the Winnipeg Free Press. Gerry has known Alice since 1951 and Lorraine since 1955. We have fond memories of working and socializing with Alice. We have run into her on several occasions since her retirement.
