DANIEL JAMES HAYDEN It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Daniel James Hayden of Winnipeg on Friday November 25, 2005. His beloved grandma Fern Hayden, grandpa Elmer Hayden, uncle Bill Hayden, grandpa Jerry and Grandma Micky Woodward predeceased Danny. He is survived by his parents Don and Dorothy Hayden; older brother David; younger sisters, Donna (Kip) and Deanna (Joseph); nieces Chantelle, Alexandria, Rhiannon and Cydonie; and one nephew Samuel. He also leaves behind Uncle Bob Hayden, auntie Sonia, aunt Diane and uncle Bob Brown; and numerous cousins; and long time friend Chris Mravenic. Danny was born October 6, 1966, and was far too young to have left us. Dan attended high school at Lorette Collegiate. He also attended a computer school and was proud of achieving the highest diploma marks of any student that had ever attended. He worked for Boeing Canada and was a long time employee of Revenue Canada. He was currently working for a landscaping and tree pruning service, doing one of the things he enjoyed most, which was working with his hands and being in the outdoors. Dan was a great mechanic and an ardent NASCAR fan. While growing up, he was an avid sports player, he was willing to engage in any sport activity with friends and always gave a little bit extra effort while playing. He was known for his quick thinking and always seeming to know what was going on at any given point in time. He was also known for his quick temper, but his sense of humour easily rose to the surface as well and his infectious laughter will be missed. In life he challenged the beaten path but even when fallen from it, he always remembered its direction and his family. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St., Winnipeg, on Wednesday November 30 at 2:00 with Minister Don McIntyre conducting, followed by a wake at the same address. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba in Danny's name. Remember Footprints in the Sand.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I met this family in the early fall of 1972, and have loved them for every year since, even out of contact. I was searching for online info as to how to reconnect with the Haydens when I read this obituary, and news of Danny's death saddens me greatly. I remember a beautiful, serious, quiet little boy with glossy brown hair and big eyes. I see it's 11 years, but loss doesn't have any expiration date. - Posted by: Vicky O'Grady (Family friend from decades past) on: Mar 10, 2016
