BARBARA DIANE ERICKSON (nee LYON) (GRANNY) May 30, 1942 - November 24, 2005 With sad hearts we announce Diane's passing on Thursday, November 24, 2005, at the St. Boniface General Hospital, at the age of 63 years. Left to mourn are a few cousins; many good friends; and her treasured cat Minew. Diane was predeceased by her Mother in March, 1997. Diane was born in Toronto on May 30, 1942. Shortly after her birth, she moved to Winnipeg for a brief time to live with her father's parents. After, she and her Mom moved to Boissevain with Charlie and Minnie Hutchinson. In 1970, she moved back to Winnipeg, where she was employed with MTS until her retirement in June 1995. She enjoyed her retirement with her home, yard and many good friends. A gathering of friends to celebrate Diane's life will be held on Wednesday, November 30 at 2:00 p.m. in the Royal Canadian Legion, West Kildonan Branch, 1748 Main St. at Hartford. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Diane's memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3, or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. A LIFE WELL LIVED A life well lived is a precious gift of hope and strength and grace from someone who has made our world a brighter better place. It's filled with friendships formed and good times shared and laughter through the years. A life well lived is a legacy of joy and pride and pleasure. A loving, lasting memory our grateful hearts will treasure.
