Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHERTHA SEWARD (HUFF) (nee KNUTT) Peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2005, Hertha Seward passed away at the Concordia Hospital. Hertha leaves to cherish her memory her son Rod and Connie; grandchildren Kristin and Kurt; many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husbands August Huff in 1952 and Jim Seward in 1978; her parents Julianna and August Knutt; as well as many brothers and sisters as she was the youngest of thirteen. Hertha was born on May 20, 1918 in the Ridgeville District. She later married and farmed in the Dominion City area. She was a life member of the Lutheran Church and was an active and dedicated community worker, curler and horticulturist. Upon moving to Winnipeg in 1979, Hertha was a tireless worker for the senior's group at Kenbur Gardens as well as Faith Lutheran Church. Hertha's greatest joy was her grandchildren; attending many concerts, hockey games and music recitals. The family wish to express their gratitude to the staff at Concordia Hospital; all friends and relatives for their love, support and prayers during this difficult time, especially to her nephew Barry Dyck. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Faith Lutheran Memorial Fund, 1311 Dakota Street, Winnipeg MB R2N 1V8. Memorial service 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1 at Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota St., with Pastor Larry Ulrich officiating.
