Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID SEAN BULL November 28, 1964 - November 25, 2005 It is with the most heartfelt sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Dave, a very loving, caring and gentle husband, father, son, brother and friend on Friday, November 25, 2005 at the young age of 40. He will be forever greatly missed by his wife Brenda Belfry; son Ryan; daughter Ashley; father Robert Bull (Judy and step-brother Craig Wakeford); sister Tracy Rees (Chris and nephew Mitchell); mother-in-law Doris Belfry; sister-in-law Pam Johnston (Colin); brother-in -law Daryl Belfry (Carolyn and nephews Cole and Connor); sister-in-law Shauna Halvorson (Wayne and nephews, Joshua, Matthew and Luke and niece Kailyn) as well, he will be missed by a wide circle of friends. He was predeceased by his loving mother Hazel in 1998. Dave was born in Winnipeg and graduated from Sturgeon Creek High School; he attended the University of Winnipeg and later became self-employed with a construction business. Anyone who knew him will remember him for his giant smile, his infectious laugh (unlike any other) and his humour . In his earlier years, he was a very good athlete in many sports with his favourite being hockey. He loved playing hockey, watching hockey (especially the Jets) and always was an avid fan. Dave played first for Heritage Victoria C.C.; Midland Flyers; St. James Canucks and the St. James Flames Senior Hockey League. Throughout the years he won numerous awards from M.V.P., All Star and Ability and Sportsmanship awards. He had a heart of gold and always found a kind word to say about anyone or anything. His smile and laugh were contagious and he has left us with many wonderful memories. In 1984 Dave and Brenda met and were married in 1990 and were blessed with two loving and precious children in 2000 and 2002. Dave was a very devoted and loving husband and an extremely excellent Daddy. He loved his children with all his heart and Ryan and Ashley cherish and love him dearly. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Dave's life on Wednesday, November 30 at 2:00 p.m. in Ness Avenue Baptist Church, 2700 Ness Ave. Mommy, we don't need to be sad, Daddy works right with God now --- He's an angel. --- Ryan J. Bull, November 25, 2005 --- We love you, we miss you, and we will always remember you. We will never let you be forgotten. A trust fund has been established on behalf of the children at the Scotiabank, 3247 Portage Ave., Winnipeg. I curled with Dave a few years ago and really enjoyed being on his team. He had an enthusiasm for the game but he always made it a lot of fun too. The best part was sitting in the lounge afterwards with Dave and the guys and having a few beers. He always made us laugh and was very kind and considerate to all of us. We were all better off for having known him. I am very sad to hear about his passing. My deepest sympathies go to his wife and children. - Posted by: Brian Bagnall (Acquaintance) on: Dec 11, 2005

Brenda, Ryan and Ashley, I lost my dad when I was six. I'm 39 now and I take comfort in the fact that he still watches over me and my family and keeps us safe and on the right path. I know that he is still and will always be there even though I can't see him. Ryan and Ashley - Trust me! I knew your dad and I guarantee with all my heart he will always be there watching over you and will keep you safe - I hope you take great comfort in knowing that. Dear Brenda and family, I am truly saddened to hear of the passing of Dave. His laugh is one of my fondest memories of him that will always last. When Devin Moffat and I rented that house on Lipton Street, it was always great to have you and Dave come and enjoy in the fun parties we had, with Dave always having a smile and laughing. Do take care, best to you, Ryan, and Ashley. Rick German - Posted by: Rick German (Friend) on: Dec 01, 2005

I went to Sturgeon with Dave as well as served as the trainer for the St. James Canucks when he played Major Juniors. I have many fond memories of him, and his quiet sense of humour. He always had a smile on his face. Though I lost track of him after moving away, I never forgot his smiling face nor all the classes we shared together. I wish to extend my condolences to his family and friends. May you take comfort in your memories of him in your time of mourning. - Posted by: Cori Mark (Acquaintance) on: Nov 29, 2005

My memories of Dave are from our childhood. He was always a sweet caring person with a big smile. Friends are the family we choose. We grew up in the same neighbourhood and I have always remembered those friends with great fondness and thought quite often of them over the years. I am saddened that I never really got to know Dave the man. But I will always remember the wonderful young man, who it seems grew into an equally wonderful husband and father. My prayers are with you all. Rest in the arms of angels my friend. - Posted by: Shannon McIsaac (Friend) on: Nov 29, 2005
