STUART DOUGLAS MILNE 1935 - 2005 With great sadness in our hearts, we announce the passing of Stuart, on Saturday November 19, 2005 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Thanks primarily to the loving care of my mother; he was able to stay at home throughout his illness with his family and friends by his side. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 46 years, Betty; daughter Heather (Rob Di Lazzaro); son Brian (Holly Milton); grandchildren, Courtney, Brenna, Sarah and Ben; sisters, Verna (Ozzie Cundall) and Pat (Don Koroscil); many nieces and nephews; Aunt Mary, Aunt May, numerous cousins, countless friends and his granddog Murphy. He was predeceased by his parents George and Marjorie Milne; his granddaughter Laura Di Lazzaro and his beloved granddogs, Natasha and Boris. Stuart was born in Winnipeg, MB on May 27, 1935 and resided there all of his life. He worked for the Manitoba Telephone System for 39 years until his retirement in 1992. Thanks to his friends Marilyn and Ray Wake, he met and fell in love with my mother. They were married on June 6, 1959 and created a warm and loving home for everyone. Some of Dad's many interests included curling, woodworking, travelling, camping, model railroading and taking care of his grandchildren and granddogs. He was a member of the King Edward Masonic Lodge #93 and was a Past Master of the Seven Oak's Masonic Lodge #148. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 30 at 2:00 p.m in St. Chad's Anglican Church (Assiniboia Christian Centre), 3390 Portage Ave. at Rouge Road, with Rev. W. Gordon Shields officiating. The family would like to thank all of the home care workers, nurses, doctors, friends and family that cared for Dad and helped Mom during Dad's illness. If you wish, donations in Stuart's memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2L 1X3 or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 2B7. Stuart's arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Owned Funeral Chapel of: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
