Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOCTAVIE MARIE FORCIER It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Octavie Forcier on Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at the St. Boniface Hospital. Octavie was predeceased by her husband Urban in 1974; her son Roger in 2004; and her son-in-law Bill Tataryn in 1998. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Marlene; daughter-in-law Ann and her family; good friend Yvette Gregoire; as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her favourite pastimes were playing bingo, cards and search-a -word. She was always in good spirits and made all around her feel welcome, she especially loved spending time with her family. She worked many years for Sacre Coeur and was president of both the ladies of Ste. Anne and the Golden Age. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating Octavie's life will be held on Monday, November 28 at 1:30 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Octavie may be made to a charity of one's choice. Octovie was a friend of my mother's (Alma Cheater who passed away September 25, 2004) and I had the privilege of taking Octovie and my mother to Bingo on many occasions when I still lived in Winnipeg in the 80s. One such occasion was on Octovie's 90th birthday when I let the announcers know of this special day. She was a very remarkable woman and, although I didn't know her well, I am saddened to learn of her passing and my deepest sympathies go out to her family and dear friends. - Posted by: Rusty Browning (Acquaintance) on: Nov 28, 2005
