EVA EMILY ROEHL (nee GRAHN) Peacefully on November 23, 2005 with her family at her side, Emily passed away at the age of 99 years at the Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home in Winnipeg, MB. She will be missed and remembered by her son Henry (Elsie); sisters, Myrtle, Edna, Emma and Helen; brothers, Jack and Elmer; as well as eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law Palma and Helen. Emily was predeceased by her husband Albert (1957); sons, Herbert (1981) and Ernie (1999) and twin sons in infancy; brothers, Harold, Albert and Robert. Granny was born November 5, 1906 and spent her youth on the homestead outside Moosehorn, MB. In 1928 she married Albert. Their first years were spent on the farm west of Moosehorn. In 1939, they purchased the general store in Faulkner, MB. Together they operated the store there until 1959. After selling the store, Granny resided with her three sons helping wherever needed. In 1979, Granny moved to Winnipeg where she resided at The Arms of the Cross Senior Centre and in 2004 moved to the Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home where she resided until her journey ended. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Moosehorn, MB with Pastor Terry Throndson officiating. Interment to follow in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB.
