Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY MYSHKOWSKY It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Mary Myshkowsky, widow of Mike Myshkowsky, at the Poseidon Care Centre on Thursday, November 24, 2005. Mary was predeceased by her husband Mike in 1999, her parents, her brother William and her sister Dora Kasian. She will be lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law Boris and Joyce; her grandchildren, Donna (John) Paluk, Michael (Laurel) and Jay (Karen); her great-grandchildren Kent and Janna Paluk; her sisters Anne Mykietowich, Nadia Alexiuk and Vera Shuwera; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Mary was born on October 7, 1915 to Harry and Anastasia Mushaliuk and was the oldest of six children. The family farmed near Caliento. Mary was very proud of the fact that she was the first person to be christened at St. John the Baptist, the church that her father helped to build. On June 2, 1935 she married Mike and in 1936 their only child Boris was born. Mary farmed along side of her husband in Arbakka until 1965. After moving to Winnipeg, Mary worked at Tan Jay until she retired in 1978. Mary was a devoted wife, mother and Baba. She loved to spoil her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and would always have a special treat for them when they visited, which was often. Many special times were spent at Baba and Gido's house. Mary enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking. She loved working in her bountiful garden and took great pride in her flower beds. Mary took pleasure in watching her soaps, doing her find-a-word puzzles, listening to her programs on the radio and keeping in touch with her sisters, family and friends on the telephone. In June, 2004, due to poor health, she became a resident of Poseidon Care Centre. Prayers for Mary will be said Thursday, December 1, 2005 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Ave. in Winnipeg. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Caliento, MB with Father Gregory Zubacz officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael and Jay Myshkowsky, John and Kent Paluk, John Kasian and Tom Shuwera. Rest In Peace Baba CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
