AIME BENOIT Peacefully, with his family by his side, on Monday, November 28, 2005 Aime passed away at Tache Centre at the age of 86 years. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 61 years, Germaine and sons, Randall (Michele) and Ken (Deborah) and by his grandchildren, Bryce, Mackenzie, Keith, Tanya (Robbie) and great-grandson, Phoenix, as well as family and friends. Dad was born on June 24, 1919 in Mariapolis, MB, one of eight boys. On October 24, 1944, Mom and Dad married and began farming in the small community of Greenway, MB. In 1963 they decided to move to Winnipeg where Dad worked at several different jobs throughout the city. Then in 1968 he gained employment at Kane Equipment working in the heavy equipment industry, where he remained until his retirement in 1981. Dad took pleasure from working in his yard and looking after his garden, and was able to convince anyone that a Ford was better then a GM. He enjoyed laughter and good fun and was a source of strength for his family. The family wishes to thank all the staff of Tache Centre for their care and compassion over the past three years. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Tache Centre. To honour Aimes' wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
