MARJORIE GRACE ENRIGHT (nee CASHMORE) July 20, 1927 - November 29, 2005 Peacefully, Marjorie passed away Tuesday morning at the Pinawa Hospital. Marjorie was predeceased by her parents Claude and Grace Cashmore, her brother Jack Cashmore and his wife Irene, and her husband Raymond. She is survived by her three children and their families - daughter Marjorie Macoun (Jeff) of London, ON, son John (Janice) of Lac Du Bonnet, and son Richard (Kimberley) of Winnipeg, and eight grandchildren; Jonathan, Karley, John, Mike, Allie, Joey, Mitch, and Patty. Marjorie was born in Moose Jaw and raised in The Pas. After graduation, she attended United College in Winnipeg. Marjorie later returned to the north, where she met and later married Ray in September, 1952. Richard was born the following year, followed by John in 1955, and Marjorie in 1960. The family moved to Lac du Bonnet in 1955, where Ray managed the Lakeview Hotel until 1965 when they purchased it from Labatts'. A lot of changes have taken place over the 50 years that the family has owned the hotel. During that time she developed great friendships with staff members and customers, all of whom became like family. Mrs. E was always at the hotel, smiling and laughing most of the time, unless the boys had her worried. Then she would be biting her lip! The family cabin in Riverland was the scene of many memorable family events. Mom was always fussing over great meals, and will be remembered by her children and grandkids for the peach pie and great turkey dinners. Mom enjoyed her bridge nights and card parties very much. Her passion for the game of curling, coupled with her love of travel, led her on many great adventures near and far. Marj attended 11 Silver Brooms over the years and she always had great companions to share in her antics. Sincere thanks to Dr. Van Gend, Dr. Wong and Dr. Parham. The family would also like to thank the great nursing staff at the Pinawa Hospital for all of their efforts. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to Pinawa District Hospital. Services will be held at the Lac Du Bonnet Community Centre on December 2, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Irish Blessing May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
