ELSIE BARON (nee STUBBE) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Elsie Baron, November 28, 2005, at St. Boniface Hospital. Elsie will be sadly missed by her loving husband Michael of 54 years; her children, Arlene Anderson (John), Mike Jr., Brad, Steven (Joelle) and grandsons, Shane, Evan, Matthew and Brandyn. Also left to cherish her memory are her dear sisters, Georgette Hoger, Mary DeMeyer (Rene), Rachael Remillard, Edna Tremblay (Bernard), Bernice Twerdun (Peter) and Diane Lamontagne (Ron); sisters-in-law, Nadia Stubbe, Anne Emond and Olga Baron; brother-in-law Paul Baribeau and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Alice; brothers, William and Valere; sisters-in-law, Anne, Nettie, Jeanne and Armande; brothers-in-law, Wilf, Jim, Peter, William, John, Bill and Adelard. Elsie was born in St. Boniface on October 26, 1932 to Sylvia and Ernest Stubbe. After completing her education at St. Joseph's Academy, she went on to work as a secretary in the offices of Beaver Lumber and Wilson Paper Products. Following her marriage to Mike in 1951, they resided in the west end for two years until settling in their current home in St. Boniface where they raised their family. Elsie was a great wife and mother whose first concern was the well being of her family. We'll have fond memories of the beach and park picnics as well as all the special family gatherings with both sides of our close knit family. She thoroughly enjoyed watching her children's and grandchildren's sporting activities, and time spent travelling and attending dances with old friends that led to new cherished friendships. The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Sarah Kredentser and St. Boniface Hospital 6A staff for their care of Elsie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation Inc., or charity of choice. Funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 1 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). A private family interment will take place in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Forever in our Hearts. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
