BERTHA NESKAR (nee STRYCHARZ) 1915 - 2005 Peacefully, in her 90th year, with her daughters at her side, Bertha passed away on November 28, 2005 at the Betel Home in Selkirk, MB. Bertha is survived by her loving daughters Carolyn Dorosh of Strathmore, AB and Marilyn (Ron) Yuzark of Oshawa, ON. She will be sadly missed by eight adoring grandchildren, Rob (Cindy) Dorosh, Rick Dorosh, Cindy (Chuck) Luehr, Cathy (Darwin) Sibbet, Kevin (Liz) Dorosh, Tricia Yuzark, Scott (Lucy) Yuzark, Jon-Paul Yuzark and eight great-grandchildren Tami and Matthew Dorosh, Christopher, Travis and Jesse Luehr, Tessa Dorosh, Paige and Riley Sibbet. Bertha was predeceased by her father and mother, Samuel Junior and Taczyanna Strycharz; step-mother Katherine; brothers Joe, Julian and Peter and sisters Kathy, Frances and Helen. She retired from her work at the Center for the Deaf in Winnipeg in 1980 and spent her golden years as a dedicated volunteer at Notre Dame Church. Bertha could always be depended upon to be present as a helpful contributor to the many duties and activities that took place at her beloved Notre Dame. Bertha was a 38 year member of Notre Dame CWL. She travelled regularly to Calgary and Toronto to spoil her ever-grateful grandchildren. Carolyn and Marilyn wish to thank the staff of the Betel Home, Selkirk for their faithful care and kindness for Bertha. Prayers will be said Thursday, December 1 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 2 at 10:30 a.m. in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, Selkirk with Fr. Boguslaw Wardzinski officiating and Fr. Art Seaman assisting. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Rob Dorosh, Rick Dorosh, Kevin Dorosh, Scott Yuzark, Jon-Paul Yuzark, and son-in-law Ron Yuzark. Although Bertha had a tremendous love of flowers, she would be grateful for your donation to the Alzheimer's Association of Manitoba, Unit 10-120 Donald St. Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2, in lieu of flowers. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
