ROBERT (BOB) JOHN KRISTIANSEN August 29, 1957 - November 27, 2005 Suddenly, on November 27, 2005, our beloved son and brother, Robert John Kristiansen, passed away at his residence at age 48 years. Robert is survived by his mother Ruby and his brother Garth. He was predeceased by his father Ralph Omar in 1991. Bob attended school in Dugald and then went to High School in Oakbank and was an active participant in the farm activities. Bob became involved in the trucking industry once he was 18 years old. He went for many a trip with Dad during the summer months before getting his license and learned to drive the big rigs. He worked in the family company and eventually purchased his own truck, driving for Arnold Bros. Transport until 1993. He then made a change in direction and went to work for Simmons Rentals where he worked with his friends until happening upon a different route with BA Haulin in 1999. This in turn changed to Tri-Line Freight Systems where he was currently working. Bob enjoyed many hours of riding his motorcycle and making sure that it was in top condition to take out on the road for his many rides on the weekend with his buddies. He also enjoyed going out for a ride on the sleds in the winter on the weekends. He had a passion for automotive equipment and had a keen eye for noticing anything that might be out of the ordinary or that needed to be fixed. Bob was a person who was always there. If the load had to be there, then he was there. If his friends needed a helping hand then he was there. If his family needed him then he was there. He will be dearly missed by all those whose lives he touched. Visitation to be held Thursday evening (tonight) between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Funeral service to follow on Friday, December 2, 2005 at 2:00 p.m., also at the Chapel with Rev. Dave Maynard officiating. Interment at Transcona Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ken Roberts, Darcy Roberts, Ron Frolick, Gerald Hiebert, Rodney Molteni and James Caton. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
