FRANK L. FRIESEN On Wednesday, November 30, 2005, at 5:30 a.m., Frank passed away in his sleep at the Grace Hospice in Winnipeg, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Frank was born December 3, 1934, in Schanzenfeld, MB. Eventually, he would raise his own family in Gretna. Retirement would take him to Winnipeg in 1989, and in the last few years he realized one of his dreams by spending winters in Palm Springs. Along the way, he carved out a successful career in the grain and egg business, and touched many lives on the golf course and at the curling rink. His greatest joys, though, came with his family, wife Mary, son Frank and his wife Betty, daughter Eva and her late husband Don McHenry, son Paul and his wife Susan Magas, daughter Neta and her husband Andy Urbanowicz and his four granddaughters, Mandy, Michelle, Maria and Natalie. Frank is also remembered by siblings, John, Helen, Abe, Peter, Harry, Isaac, Bert and Irvin, along with their families. Thanks to the staff at the Grace Hospice, St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Unit and Victoria Hospital for their wonderful care. Join us all in celebrating what would have been Frank's 71st birthday on Saturday, December 3 at 10:00 a.m., Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., R3E 0V9.

Dear Mary & Family Sincere condolences to a wonderful family who allowed me to share some very special time as Frank waited for the train to heaven. May the peace of Jesus Christ comfort, reassure and uphold you during this time of grief and celebration. Thoughts and prayers are with you. From Florida...
