EDITH MARGARET HAGEN (nee CLIFTON) December 9, 1922 - November 30, 2005 It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Edith at the Victoria Hospital. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her loving husband Jacob (Jack) of 27 years; her daughter Barbara (Les); brother Willie (Muriel) Clifton of Petersfield; niece Carol Cumberland of Selkirk; granddaughters Tammy Chambers (Ron) and great-grandson Bryce; granddaughter Crystal Eames (Doug) and great-grandchildren, Dustin and Caitlin. She also leaves her stepdaughter Linda (Ron) Spence and grandchildren, Cameron and Sara of Kelowna, B.C.; stepson Dennis (Kathy) and children Dawn and Matthew of Winnipeg; stepson John (Anja) Hagen and grandchildren, Renske and Sanne of the Netherlands; stepson Patrick (Meriam) and granddaughter Susanna of the Netherlands. Edith was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Elizabeth Clifton, her sister Lucy Mosquin and her first husband Fred Foord. Edith is also survived by her many nieces and nephews, her cousin Ivy Clifton, many in-laws and friends in the Netherlands and at home in Petersfield and Selkirk and her beloved cat Tippy-Two. Edith loved gardening, her weekly bingo, playing Yahtzee with her niece Carol and camping and traveling. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 4th at 1:00 p.m. in the St. George's Anglican Church, Wakefield, MB. (Hwy #9 North of Selkirk) with Rev. Brad Elliott officiating. Interment of ashes will follow in the Churchyard cemetery. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the doctor's and nurses at the Selkirk General Hospital and the doctor's and nurses at the IC unit at the Victoria Hospital for their compassion and care shown to Edith. At Edith's wishes, flowers are gratefully declined and donations in her memory can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St. Wpg, MB. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
