Date of Passing: Nov 30, 2005
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLLOYD HARRY LOUGHEAD May 17, 1939 - November 30, 2005 Our family regrets to announce that Lloyd passed away after a short illness. Lloyd leaves behind his wife Rita; his mother Lorene; brothers Gary, John, Glen (Debbie) and their families, his daughter Maureen and son Andrew. Grandchildren Julian, Lindsay, Jessica, Victoria and Cameron will miss grandpa and his cornball humour a great deal. Lloyd was predeceased by his father Harry and sons, Bruce, Brian and Charlie. From the farm in Giroux, MB, Lloyd and family moved to Forrest Avenue in West Kildonan during the war years. Many a tale exists on the escapades of Lloyd and his pals growing up in West Kildonan. Lloyd, with his strong work ethic, was able to succeed at pretty well whatever he put his mind to. Over the years he worked for the City of Winnipeg, owned his own garden centre and undertook maintenance work for MTS in northern Manitoba. Above all Lloyd was a man who worked hard all his life and valued his independence. Even when poor health reduced his independence, Lloyd never complained, he showed real courage in accepting his condition and carrying on as best he could. Dad, rest in peace and watch over us, we will miss you in so many untold ways. A celebration of Lloyd's life for family and friends will take place Saturday, December 10, at 3:00 p.m. in the Pavilion at Kildonan Park, 2015 Main St. Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made to the Parkinson Society of Manitoba, 302-171 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 1M5. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler @ Henderson Hwy. 668-3151

I was very sorry to hear of Lloyd's passing. I have known Lloyd and his family for over 20 years and always enjoyed any opportunity that I had to spend time in his company. I truly enjoyed his sense of humor and learned very early on what a wonderful , caring person there was behind that gruff exterior. It is sad to see such a good man leave us so soon. - Posted by: Mike Cavell (Friend) on: Dec 04, 2005

I'm sorry to hear of Lloyd's passing. He worked for me in the North with MTS. I always much enjoyed his personality and was impressed by his go-go work attitude. Nothing ever stopped him. I wish I were closer to have visited. - Posted by: Bob Beavis (Co-Worker) on: Dec 03, 2005
