ALVIN (PACK) COCHRANE June 13, 1940 - November 28, 2005 On Tuesday, November 29, 2005, at the age of 65 and after a brave, courageous battle with cancer, Alvin Cochrane, affectionately known as Pack, went home to our Lord. Al was born June 13, 1940, on the Peguis Reserve, where he lived for most of his life. He worked for many years, operating a cat and scraper, and as a lumberjack. Al is survived by his wife Barbara; son Allan; daughters, Karen and Iona; stepchildren, David, Kathy and Carolyn; six brothers, Bill (Gerry), Hubert (Ellen), Walter (Maggie), Harvey, Doug (Judy) and Delmir; two sisters, Corinne (Steve) and Olive (Carl); grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Al was predeceased by his father William Sr.; his mother Myrtle; two sisters, Rachael and Mae. The family would like to thank the staff at the Percy E. Moore Hospital and the Peguis Chief and Council. Dad, we miss you and will always cherish the fun and happy memories that we had together. We know you are watching us and we will always love you. A wake service will be held on Sunday, December 4 at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 5 at 1:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the St. Matthew's Anglican Church, Peguis, MB, with Rev. Barry Bear and Rev. Wesley Barrett officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Peter's Anglican Church Cemetery.
