VASSILIKI CARABATSAKIS Vassiliki Carabatsakis peacefully and with great courage passed away December 1, 2005 at 2:30 a.m. at the Grace Hospital. Vassiliki is predeceased by her husband Harilaos Carabatsakis; Vassiliki was a very devoted wife, mother and Grandmother. Vassiliki arrived in Winnipeg from her birthplace in Greece; she lived in Winnipeg for the past 40 years. Vassiliki had a great passion for her family especially her grandchildren and was known and cherished for her generosity and kindness. She leaves to mourn her beautiful memory by her sons, John and Peter and daughter Maria; she also leaves to mourn her daughter-in-laws, Sophia and Dana; her son-in-law Spiro. She was a proud Grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Harilaos, Iliana, Brett, Joshua, Nathan, Harrison and Athena. She will be greatly missed by her brother Lucas, Thanasi, and her sister Maria; she will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Prayers will be held on Monday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m. St. Demitrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2255 Grant Ave. Funeral Service will also be held at the church on Tuesday, December 6 at 12:00 noon; interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Aldor for his genuine care and compassion, also for Dr. Harris and the Cancer Care Unit at the Grace Hospital for their support.
