LUCY FRANCES ILEEN KENDALL (nee DRACASS) Ileen Kendall, beloved wife of Gordon C. Kendall, passed away December 1, 2005 at Grace Hospital. Born April 14, 1922 at Carman, MB, Ileen was raised in the Garnett district near Sperling MB. After being employed at the Sperling Telephone Office, Ileen came to Winnipeg where she was employed at Eaton's Mail Order until her marriage to Gordon on June 21, 1947. Her main interests were her home and family. She enjoyed travelling and she and Gordon visited many places in Canada and the United States. Ileen was a member of Harstone Memorial United Church for many years. Besides her husband Gordon, she will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Cheryl Morrison, grandson Bryan Morrison, sisters Muriel (Karl) Farstad, Marion (Burt) Mitchell, Doreen (Jack) Waddell, sister-in-law Margaret Dracass, and many nieces and nephews. She will also be sadly missed by family friend Lucy Porter whose kindness to Ileen was greatly appreciated. She was predeceased by her parents Samuel and Myrtle Dracass and her brother George. The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff at Heritage Lodge for the care given to Ileen while she was a resident there and also to the staff at Grace Hospital. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 5, 2005 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ileen's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R6.
