ANNETTE LE GRAS September 27, 1962 - November 30, 2005 With great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the very sudden, but peaceful passing of our beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend, Annette Le Gras on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at the Carman Memorial Hospital. Leaving to cherish their memories of her are her two daughters, Angie (Patrick) and Raquel as well as her mother Lucina; siblings, Lorraine (Howard) Coumont of Delta, BC; Ronald (Betty) of St. Claude; Evelyn (Lloyd) Laing of St. Claude; Nicole (Eric) Champagne of Winnipeg; and Jacqueline (Tattoo) Badiou of Notre Dame; nieces and nephews, Cheryl (Denning), Chad (Denise), Allison (Troy), Chris (Courtney), Jason, Troy (Joanna), Patrick (Stacy), Stephanie, Anique and Chelyne and father of her children, John Sisson. Raelene, Clark, Scott, Connor and Amanda all held a special place in her heart. Annette will also be remembered by the many friends she made and kept during every stage of her life. She was predeceased by her dad (Henri). Mom was born and raised in St. Claude, where she graduated as president of the student council and captain of the volleyball team. From there she moved to Elm Creek where she raised her two daughters. She loved watching her girls play hockey and missed that most, as they got older. She was a dedicated employee of Sonoco and valued the friendships made during her 20 years with the company. She enjoyed being the world's greatest Mom, beating Evelyn at golf, relaxing at the annual sisters' spa weekend, taking a day to read a book, working in her flower garden, listening to music and the laughter of children. Decorating her house at Halloween and waiting for all the kids to come trick or treating was something she looked forward to all year. Mom saw her greatest accomplishment as raising us. We are very proud of her for following her dream towards an accounting education, being able to give the best advice in any situation and taking the time to listen no matter what time of day or night. Her motherly instinct didn't stop with us; many of our friends were regular visitors to our house (and we know it wasn't to see us!) Our regret is that our Mom/sister/friend will not be able to finish her list of 76 things she wanted to accomplish in her life. Although she completed many of her goals, including a trip to Vermont for her 40th birthday, we are up to the task of finishing the rest. Please come to share your happiest memories of Mom and not to mourn her passing on Monday, December 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elm Creek Community Hall. Doyle's Funeral Chapel, in care of arrangements.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Raquel and Angie, How I wish I was there. You are very special to me. I would love to give you both a big hug. Your mom was so proud of you. I admired her very much for all that she did. I am inspired by her plan to accomplish a list of 76 things. If all of us could take a moment to listen to a friend and to help sort out a problem for someone, we would be living the way that your mom did. Our deepest sympathy, Clara ( Mrs. B.), and Erwin, Marc and Adrienne. - Posted by: Clara & Erwin Butikofer (Friend) on: Dec 03, 2005

  • Angie & Raquel, when I think of your mom I have to smile because she always had a the most heart warming smile I've ever seen. I remember when she told me she finally had enough money and had bought her first car, how proud of her success she was, I will always hold these memories near to my heart, she was a gift from God and raised to beautiful, strong and inteligent daughters who I am sure will carry on her love of life. - Posted by: Barb Martin (Friend) on: Dec 03, 2005
