Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTANISLAWA ZIEMSKI Peacefully, on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at Riverview Health Centre, Stanislawa Ziemski passed away at the age of 89 years. Stanislawa was born in the town of Budzanow, Western Ukraine, December 11, 1915, the second youngest of ten children of Anton Ziemski and Katarzyna Ciastko. During the Second World War, she was taken to forced labour in Germany and upon her return home, the entire family was relocated to the new lands assigned to Poland. In 1958, Stasia immigrated to Winnipeg to make a better life for herself and to be with her sisters Stephania Lach and Rozalia Litwin and their families. She worked in the housekeeping department of the old Victoria Hospital on River Ave. and then the Health Sciences Centre until she retired. Stasia was a member of St. John Cantius Church. Her Church and her family were very important to her. Stasia is survived by her youngest sister, Geneowefa and her husband Wojchieh Bugierszta and nieces and nephews in Poland. In Winnipeg, she is survived by her niece Josephine Klymkiw and her husband Bohdan; great-nieces Roxanne Taylor (Ron and their daughter Stephanie); great-nephew Mark (Peggy and their children Natasha, Alycia and Joseph); great-nephew Marek Sawicki (Joanna and their sons Lucas, Matthew and Paul) of Tacoma, Washington. She was predeceased by her sisters Stephania Lach and Rose Litwin in Winnipeg; one sister and two brothers in Poland. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of 4CD of Riverview Health Centre for the care of our Aunt. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 7 at St. John Cantius Roman Catholic Church, 846 Burrows Ave. with Fr. H. Uczniek officiating. Viewing will take place 1/2 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Klymkiw, Paul Klymkiw, Alex Dobrowolski, Andrew Dobrowolski, Michael Dobrowolski and John Kozelko.
