Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryYVONNE MARIE DECOCK (nee NANNAN) Yvonne Marie Decock of Brandon, passed away peacefully at her residence, Fairview Home on Friday, November 4, 2005. Yvonne entered this world on November 10, 1912 to Paul and Odile Nannan. She grew up on the family farm, where she went to school in Deleau and Grande Clairiere. On June 21, 1939, Yvonne and Frank were married in Oak Lake. They lived on the Decock farm for a few years. Then they moved to the village of Deleau and bought the Co-Op Store. After 12 years of being storekeeper and some farming, they returned to full time farming. Yvonne enjoyed gardening, cooking, and decorating wedding cakes. After Frank's death she moved to Brandon. Yvonne worked as a cook for a number of establishments such as St. Michael Academy, Salvation Army, and others. After retiring Yvonne travelled to such places as Rome, three times to Belgium to visit family, the Arctic Circle and as far south as Florida. Her biggest enjoyment was her family and friends. She leaves to mourn her sister Edmee Palmer; three sons, Gary (Astrid), Darcy (Josie), Larry (Ellen); her daughter Helen Stocks (Roy) and one foster daughter Olga McLennan (Jim). She had nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, five foster grandchildren, three foster great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. Yvonne was predeceased by her husband Frank; parents, Paul and Odile Nannan; sisters Gabrielle Cancade, Marie Wright; and one brother Maurice Nannan.
