RICHARD ANDREW JASYSYN June 19, 1942 - December 3, 2005 It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Richard Jasysyn husband, father and grandfather on Saturday, December 3, 2005. Richard is lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years Catherine, Kitty (nee Perreault); children, Crystal, Debbie Kletke (Chris), Kim Kovacs ( Richard) and treasured grandchildren, Dillon, Brendan, Justin and Anna. He will be sadly missed by his Mother Helen; brothers, Dave (Liz), Melvin (Rowena), Kenny and sisters, Lorraine (Jim), Marge (Steve) and numerous nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by his father Andrew; sisters, Darlene and Louise, and infant brother Leonard. Dad cherished his family and friends. His hospitality and making people feel welcome were important to him. Dad will be remembered for his quick wit, subtle sense of humour and impeccable culinary skills. He was a man who worked hard all of his life. He was an extremely devoted and loyal employee of Champs Food Systems for 31 years. In 1956, at the age of 14, he began his work with Champs. He devoted his career to helping the company develop and prosper. Through his work, he traveled extensively across Canada and the United States learning and refining his knowledge of the food and hospitality industry. He culminated his career with Champs as Vice President of Operations. After leaving Champs, he and Mom opened their deli restaurant, a life long dream he saw realized. In his retirement, Mom and Dad enjoyed several years of snow birding to Texas and living the good life at the lake. Some of Dad's favourite moments were being surrounded by friends and family having good laughs at the family cabin in Beaconia. Dad was always whipping up a feast for friends and family to enjoy. This was his passion in his later years. A celebration of Dad's life will take place on Friday, December 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel 1442 Main St. Thank you to all of our friends and relatives for you kindness and support during this time. A special thank you to Henry ,the volunteer firefighter, who assisted our father. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Arthritis Society. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
