JOHN BILUN Peacefully on December 5, 2005, with his family at his side, our father and Gigi passed away at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 78 years. John is survived by his children, Nina (Duane), Luba (Grant) and David; grandchildren, Lindsey, Taylor, Alexander and Quinn and mother of his children, Jennie. John was born in Kiev on October 15, 1927 and immigrated to Canada after the Second World War. He was proud to become a Canadian Citizen on September 10, 1956. John was a hard worker and in his spare time enjoyed the outdoors, which included riding his bike. He enjoyed reading Ukrainian literature and was proficient in five languages. He loved to spend time with his family and always promoted the importance of a good education. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff on 4W including Dr. Badenhorst at Riverview Health Centre for their care, compassion and patience with our dad. A funeral service will held on Friday, December 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Metropolitan Cathedral, 1175 Main St., with Very Rev. Henry Lakusta. Interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
