JOYCE BIGOURDAN April 17, 1929 - December 5, 2005 It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of their beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Joyce Bigourdan on Monday, December 5, 2005 at the Victoria Hospital. Joyce leaves many wonderful memories, to be cherished by her husband George, of 55 years; daughters, Diane, Sharon, Cathy (Kris); grandchildren, Heather, Jenna, Matthew, Jared, Steven and great-grandson Aaron; as well as her brother George (Irene) Marsh. Joyce was a loving wife and mother, who kept her family close to her heart. Joyce spent her early years as a homemaker, raising her family and teaching at the YMCA as a swim instructor. Her love for bowling and curling was evident by the collection of trophies in the basement. Joyce will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. According to Joyce's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with a reception following. A private interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joyce's memory to a charity of one's choice.
