ILSE LOEWEN (KROEKER)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryILSE LOEWEN (nee KROEKER) Peacefully on December 5, 2005 our dear wife and mother passed away at Concordia Place at the age of 77 years. She will be sadly missed by her husband Henry and daughters, Gisela (Dave) and Rosemary. She is also survived by sister Annemarie Moeller (Heinz), sister-in-law Irene Kroeker, brother-in-law Peter Loewen (Tina) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Edith and brother Heini. Ilse was born on March 29, 1928 in the Free State of Danzig. She enjoyed a carefree childhood with her siblings on her parents farm. The war interrupted her peaceful life, the family was forced to leave their home and eventually came to West Germany. In 1951 Ilse and her parents were able to immigrate to Canada. Two years later, in 1953, she married her sweetheart, Henry Loewen, with whom she shared 52 years. Daughters, Gisela and Rosemary completed their family. Ilse contributed to the family household doing various jobs. She worked with great dedication at Bethania Personal Care Home for the last 15 years of her employment. Ilse was a very caring and giving person who cherished her family and friends. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 9 at 10:30 a.m. at First Mennonite Church, 922 Notre Dame Ave. with Rev. Franz Wiebe officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 141 Bannatyne Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3B 0R3 would be appreciated. FRIENDS FUNERAL SERVICE 339-5555
