IDA RAY MITCHELL On Monday, December 5, 2005 Ida Ray passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She leaves to mourn, her best friend and husband of 54 years, Murray; daughters, Lori and Lynn (Wayne); sons, Larry (Bunny) and Lorne; grandchildren, Lauren, Kristen, Laine, Bria, Kevin and Keith. Ray was born in 1931 in Selkirk, MB to Kristjan and Lillian Sigurdson. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Kristjan (Duddy) and sister Eileen. Ray's fondest times were spent travelling with Murray and Lorne in their mobile home. Her greatest joy was meeting Mickey Mouse in Disneyland. She loved the many people she met over those years and treasured those memories. Ray's dogs were an important part of her life, any pet was loved and welcomed in her home. She will be sadly missed by Mitzy and Brandi. We remember Ray's love of life and passion to raise her children as strong, independent individuals. Throughout the years, she was loved as a homemaker, and when her children were grown up she spent her time working by Murray's side. Their home was always full of laughter and open to all friends, no matter what time of day, or night. Most importantly, her great love for Murray and pride in Lorne, will live forever. Sincere thanks to Dr. Ron Maier and the staff of Concordia Hospital. Also thank you to home care providers, particularly Verona, Donna, Carol, Loretta, Christina and Brenna, for their care and compassion throughout this past year. Cremation has taken and a memorial service will be held Saturday, December 10, 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Humane Society of Manitoba. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
