Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIVY MAY NEWMAN-TYLER Ivy passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 7, 2005, at Park Manor Personal Care Home in her 99th year. Ivy was predeceased by her husband James in 1977; son Donald James in 1965; her sister Doris; and her stepbrother Bert. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Bob (Marilyn) in Qualicum Beach, BC, Jimmy (Norma) in Victoria, BC; and daughter-in-law Maureen Sheldon in Transcona. Ivy is also survived by five grandchildren, Ron in Calgary, Linda in Victoria, Katherine in Chicago and Donny and Kim in Australia; and by four great-grandchildren. Ivy was born on April 21, 1906, in Ebbwvale, Wales, and immigrated to Canada as a young woman. She met and married James in 1931, residing in southern Manitoba, Winnipeg, Matlock, and she spent her past 57 years in Transcona. Interment has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 16 at 2:30 p.m. at the Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Ave. W., with Rev. Bill Blaikie, Jeff Cook and Carol Fletcher officiating. Reception to follow in the church basement. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to the mourner's charity of choice. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
