Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER ROY FLEMING With heavy hearts the family of Peter announces his unexpected passing on Tuesday December 6, 2005. One of Peter's greatest joys was his family and his memory will be lovingly cherished by Joyce, his beloved wife of 44 and one half years; daughters, Joanne Fleming and Brenda (Rick) Fehr and sisters, Marjory (Vern) McNair and Freda (Harold) Brown. Also remembering him are brother-in-law Ken Hicks, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter Roy and Persi Gladys Fleming. Peter was born October 23, 1938 in Regina, SK and grew up in Shoal Lake, MB. He was a manager and an inspector with the Toronto Dominion Bank for many years serving in various locations in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. In 1978 his love of driving led him to a career with Winnipeg Transit, where he enjoyed 25 years of service. He was named Operator of the Year for 2001. In recent years, volunteering with the Prairie Dog brought him great enjoyment. He was honoured to be part of The Vintage Locomotive Society. Peter lived life with honesty and integrity. He was hard working, loyal and possessed a great sense of humour and a tremendous inner strength. He could meet any challenge and lived life with a positive attitude. Special thanks to Pat Hill. We would especially like to thank Dr. David Rush and all of the transplant and clinic team for giving us an extra 18 years of quality life with Peter. If desired, donations in honour of Peter may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Branch or to The Vintage Locomotive Society Inc. A service to celebrate Peter's life will be held on Monday, December 12 at 3:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue., Aubrey Street entrance.
