WALTER SCHWARTZ Suddenly, on December 7, 2005, after a lengthy illness, Walter Schwartz passed away at Seven Oakes Hospital. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Miriam; his son George (Grace); his four daughters, Dorothy (Charlie), Donna Rose, Faye (Dennis) and Janet; and his 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his three sisters, Lydia, Ruth (Allen), Elsie (Jack) and by Bob Schwartz. He was predeceased by his father George; mother Amalia; and brother Jack. Walter served in the Royal Canadian Air Force (R.C.A.F.) and was a respected builder in the construction industry. He was honoured later in his career as a teacher at Tech Voc School. Our gratitude and thanks to the wonderful staff at Seven Oaks Hospital over the past years and Dr. Hechtenthal and especially to the very loving and trusted caregivers at the Maples Personal Care Home. Walter was a courageous and dedicated family man whose life will be celebrated at a memorial service on Monday, December 12 at 11:00 a.m. in Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. A reception will follow at Donna Rose's on Maryland Street. In lieu of flowers, donations in Walter's memory may be made to Seven Oaks Hospital, 2300 McPhillips St., Winnipeg, MB R2V 3M3.
