Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCES MARY KAMMERMAYER Frances Mary Kammermayer passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord on Sunday, December 4, 2005 at the age of 99 years, 7 months and 1 day. She was born on the family homestead north of Langenburg, SK on May 3, 1906. Frances was the eldest of seven girls and two boys born to Frances (Goetz) and August Mitschke. She was educated at Hohenloe School to grade eight and enjoyed a happy, carefree childhood. She worked as a housekeeper in Moose Jaw, Yorkton and Winnipeg. On July 10, 1929 she married John Paul Kammermayer and together they set up a home attached to his business. Frances helped her husband in the store, raised her family of seven children and was a gracious hostess to everyone who came to her door. She was a friend to all and loved unconditionally. She was well read, enjoyed music, loved all of God's creatures, adept with needle and thread and was an exemplary mother. She was strong in her faith and set a beautiful example for her family to follow. She was devoted member of the Catholic Women's League and also worked many years with handicapped children. At the age of 90 years she moved to Winnipeg to be near her daughter Joan who suffered from Multiple Sclerosis. She spent nine happy years at Rotary Villa where she was loved by all and sadly missed when she returned to Langenburg in May 2005 to reside at the Centennial Special Care Home. Frances was predeceased by her parents; her husband John; her daughter Joan Lavoie; her sisters, Eva Wright, Ann De Sutter, Gerte Currey, Hedwig Buchberger and her brother Fred. She leaves to mourn her daughters, Doreen (Ben) Bieber of Calgary, AB, Mildred (Bob) Njegovan of Creighton, SK, Bunny (Jim) Paci of Winnipeg, MB, Ellen (Roger Lunman) Kammermayer of Ottawa, ON, her sons, Don (Breda) Kramer of Toronto, ON, Jerry (Fran) of Vancouver, BC, 24 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, her sisters; Hannah Betz of Pentiction, BC and Eda Fieseler of Langenburg, and her brother Ted of Langenburg. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Care Home for their tender care and consideration and everyone who attended the Celebration of her Life. If friends so desire, donations may be made in her memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or a charity of their choice. The funeral service was held on Thursday, December 8 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Langenburg, SK with Fr. Hector Seville officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery. Prayers were said from the church Wednesday evening at 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers were Pierre Lavoie, Gerry Berkowski, Tom Njegovan, Michael Kammermayer, Donald Njegovan, and Darren Rosenberger. All of Frances' family and friends were considered honourary pallbearers. The honour guard was provided by the CWL. Braendle-Bruce Funeral Service of Russell was in care of arrangements.
