Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN STUPAK Passed away peacefully on December 9, 2005 at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 83. John was born on January 13, 1922 in Nowy Lublinec, Western Ukraine. At the age of 18 John left Ukraine to seek a better life in Germany. John spent his youth working for a German family at which time he also learned the trade of tailoring. This later became his profession. In Germany he met and married his wife Maria Kuzina in 1946. They were married for 48 years. It was through John's Uncle Fred's sponsorship that they immigrated to Canada, arriving in Quebec City in 1948. From there they proceeded to Saskatchewan where they stayed with relatives. John and his wife Maria worked briefly in Melville, SK, then later moved to Winnipeg where they decided to settle permanently. John worked as a tailor at Hanford-Drewitt for many years and later on at Eaton's until his retirement. John loved his work and continued tailoring for family and friends till his last days. John was a kind, friendly, outgoing person. He was an active member of Prosvita Seniors Club and Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral for as long as his health permitted. John will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was predeceased by his wife Maria in 1994. He leaves to cherish his memory his son Bohdan, daughter-in-law Oxana and grandsons, Andrew and Michael. Prayers will be sung at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 14 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St., with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Mitrat M. Buyachok officiating. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
