LORNE RUSSELL GRAHAM May 2, 1929 - December 11, 2005 Peacefully, on Sunday, December 11, 2005, Russell passed away at Oakview Place Personal Care Home at the age of 76 years. Remaining to forever cherish his memory are his wife Martha, of 47 years of marriage; daughter Lisa; dogs, Barney Belle and Teddy; sisters, Dorothy McBain, Iris Graham and Yvonne Schneider (Ernie); sister-in-law Phyllis Mudry; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his son Lorne David in 2001. For many years Russell worked as a Purchasing Agent with the Winnipeg School Division #1 and took an early retirement in 1989. Russell was very interested in most sports, both as a participant and as a spectator. An avid reader, he particularly followed war stories, current events, biographies and viewing nature and geographic programs. A deck of cards was often on his dresser; he enjoyed poker with his buddies, amusing guests with card tricks or even a game of solitaire. On Thursday, December 15 at 10:30 a.m., Russell's funeral service will be held in Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Ave. (corner of Mount Royal Road and Ness Ave). For those who wish, parking will be available in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church parking lot located on Ness Avenue. Grateful thanks are extended to all the staff at Oakview Place Personal Care Home for their care and consideration to Russell and the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Russell's memory to Cancer Care Manitoba or to the Winnipeg Humane Society would be appreciated. Russell's arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Owned Funeral Chapel of: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
