ROBERT TEPPER 1927 - 2005 On Saturday, December 10, 2005, peacefully at his home, Robert went home to be with his Lord and Saviour and to be reunited with his beloved wife Marlis who predeceased him this past June. Robert will be remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory his son Dieter and wife Maria, granddaughters, Laurie and Lynnette and great-granddaughter Zoe. Robert is also survived by two brothers, Albert (Freda) and Erwin in Germany and many other family members. Robert was born on November 28, 1927 in Poland. As a young adult he gave his life to the Lord and has served him faithfully ever since. Robert was a kind, friendly man who loved his family, worked hard for them never asking for anything in return. Robert and Marlis became faithful members of Immanuel Pentecostal Church in 1954. Robert used his construction skills to help build first the church on Palmerston and then later the church on Wilkes. At the age of 65 Robert and Marlis retired from the Health Sciences Centre where they both worked, he as a maintenance worker. They enjoyed 11 wonderful years of retirement together. Robert and Marlis were never apart. They spent hours everyday in prayer for their children, grandchildren and church family. When Marlis, his beloved wife passed away this past June after a short illness Robert's heart died with her. He couldn't go on without her after being together for 54 years. We his family and friends rejoice that God has called him home and he is reunited with Marlis. That was his heart's desire. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 15 at 1:00 p.m. at Immanuel Pentecostal Church, 955 Wilkes Ave. with Pastor Erhard Buss officiating. Viewing will be one half hour prior to the service. Interment will take place in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to thank all the friends and family who faithfully phoned, visited and provided dad with delicious meals. We also wish to thank the paramedics and the two police officers that came to the home and showed such care and compassion to us. Robert will live on forever in our hearts.
