Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH (JOE) MAGER 1925 - 2005 On Thursday, December 8, 2005 at Beacon Hill Lodge after a lengthy illness, Joe went to be with his parents, brothers and sisters. Left to mourn his passing are his wife of 58 years Georgina (Georgie) and his children, Henry (Lynne), Arlene (Tom), Roland (Debbie), John (Richard), Michael (Cori), Daniel (Shelley) and Ted (Sjourd); along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother Louis; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Born and raised in St. Vital where he lived all his life, Joe was very active in both St. Emile and Christ the King Church along with their schools. A founding member of the Shamrock/Maple Leaf Bingo. Joe was a very familiar sight working the door over 40 years. He was also very involved with the 149th Beavers, Cubs Scouts and the St. Vital District Scouts. Along with his wife, he was a very active member of the Red River Seniors. Joe will be well remembered at election times putting up signs and canvassing for the Liberals. A switchman at the CNR for 43 years, Joe was very involved in the Local Union (UTU Local 990). The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Beacon Hill Lodge for the loving care they gave to Joe over the past two years. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 15 at 10:00 a.m at Christ The King Church, 847 St. Mary's Rd. Flowers gratefully declined.
