ARTHUR HORROX 1922 - 2005 It is with deep sadness we mourn the passing of Arthur Horrox. He left us on December 10, 2005 after a devastating battle with cancer. Art was born at home in West Kildonan on April 28, 1922. After returning from a three year stint in the Navy, he married the love of his life, Evelyn Rose in 1945. They enjoyed almost 50 years together before Mom passed away suddenly in 1995. Art worked as a painter and decorator for the Manitoba Telephone System for 35 years, retiring in 1987. He enjoyed gardening and bike riding as well as his many artistic endeavours. Art and Ev enjoyed time together with friends at the Legion , but Art was happiest celebrating life at home with Ev, his children and grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Evelyn Rose, Harry Horrox and Herbert Horrox (brothers); Art leaves his son Arthur Horrox (Terry), daughter Norma Barthelette (Robert); granddaughters, Dana Dolynchuk (Garry), Krista Bourne (Corey); and great-grandchildren, Kyle and Jillian Dolynchuk; and great-granddog Moosie. Art's family wish to thank the caregivers in the Palliative Care ward of the St. Boniface Hospital for the caring and respectful manner in which they supported dad and his family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare. A celebration of life for Art and Evelyn is planned for December 17, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the West Kildonan Legion, 1748 Main St.
