MARGARET MCKAY MACLEOD October 1, 1906 - December 10, 2005 Margaret MacLeod passed away peacefully at the Tuxedo Villa on December 10, 2005. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Bill, her brother John and her dearest friends Charlie and Edith Lambert. To describe Margaret in a word it would be remarkable . She embraced life with a passion and enjoyed its simple pleasures - her daily walks in the sunshine and tending to her small garden. She loved the outdoors and was an avid golf, football and curling fan. Above all, Margaret was a people person. She was a volunteer with CancerCare Manitoba for over 25 years until the fall of 1998 and was affectionately dubbed the cookie lady by all the staff. Margaret's personal contribution of over 4,000 hours shows her exceptional level of commitment. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Jubilee Chapter #27 for almost 50 years and made many longtime friends within the organization. Margaret was a tireless worker and dedicated member of the fraternity. Margaret gave us all the most precious gift anyone could - she gave of herself. We were all so blessed by having known this very exceptional lady. She will be terribly missed by us all. Glen and Enid (nee Lambert) wish to thank the staff of Tuxedo Villa for their care and compassion. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. in the Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. She will be interred with her mother, Janet Coutt, in Brookside Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. You will always have a special place in our hearts. Forever remembered, Always loved. THOMSON Funeral Chapels - 669 Broadway - 783-7211
